It is estimated that most companies use less than 30% of the functionality of their business systems and that over 50% of companies that suffer a major computer catastrophe and loss of data, never trade again. For many companies today, without ICT they would not have a business.
All businesses should seriously consider undertaking an ICT health-check - ideally an in-depth diagnostic process looking at how the company uses ICT strategically, tactically and operationally. In simple terms, where are you now and where you do you want to be? The outcome of the structured health-check should be a report and an action plan.
Your Speakers:
Dr Michael Huxley of M H Innovation, will introduce this event, covering a number of subjects such as this diagnostic process, planning your IT requirements and managing the implementation. A panel of local experts, including John Chapman of First Accountancy; Chris Wood of Headtex Ltd; Claire White of Claire White Associates and John Carter of Your e Solutions Ltd, will be happy to answer any ICT questions in the form of a surgery / question time.
The panel will also endeavour to signpost local businesses to any grants and support programmes. There will be ample opportunity for guests to speak to panel members after Dr Huxley’s presentation and general networking opportunities.
