Search Engine Optimisation
We charge a fixed hourly rate of £30 for this type of work.
It is still possible on some search engines (for example, Inktomi) to optimise individual pages especially using the paid inclusion with regular updates (every 24 hours).
We use WPGold page critic to keep up to date with changes on page variables like keyword density for each search engine, and also to identify pages that are currently high ranking.
With other search engines such as Google using their proprietary PageRank system of monitoring of page variables such as text linking (external and internal) and their tendency to rank home pages higher optimisation is more involved.
This requires the use of link analysis software such a OptiLink.
This report explains the current ranking for any site and the level of work needed to gain a top position for any given search terms.
This has caused the creation of may sites based on one particular product or service (niche sites or mini sites) to gain higher rankings than much bigger sites.
OptiLink Analysis
This report is especially effective on Google as it provide information on the three most important measurements Google uses to evaluate web sites.
This report costs £30 for up to 200 links; above that the cost is £50.
Reporting
We use WPGold as a search engine reporting tool.
It now reports on UK specific search engines.
These reports are useful for checking the visibility of a site across a number of search engines.
Typically a report checking up to 10 search terms across 10 search engines would cost £40.
Both the OptiLink and WPgold reports are useful for a business to run on their competitors web sites.
