General Frequently Asked Questions

How do I contact support?

Please contact support after you have looked for a solution within this FAQ or if you think your problem won't be described here

Telephone: (01302) 554988
E-mail: support@yesl.co.uk

Who is the technical support person?

Rob Mather. He is a web designer and is the first point of contact for technical support queries.

What do I do if technical support aren't helping?

If your problem is not solved correctly first time then please contact technical support again.

Please give technical support 48 hours to get back to you with an answer. Most problems can be sorted out in the same day.

If you are unhappy with the level of service, please contact one of the directors. John Carter's e-mail address is johnc@yesl.co.uk.

How long should I expect to wait for an answer?

Most problems can be sorted out in the same day but please allow 48 hours in the case of less trivial problems. In rare cases there might be a backlog of support issues in which case we will address the most severe problems first. If we have given you an account on YeSL ClientSection (http://yesl.clientsection.com) then please log your support query there as a Message or create a Todo for Your e Solutions. It is always best to follow up a telephone call with an email describing your problem as all members of our support team are developers so they might be hard at work when you call.

What is Webmail?

Webmail is a way to send and receive e-mail from any computer connected to the Internet by using a web browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape. You should feel right at home if you are a Hotmail user.

Webmail allows you to access your email from anywhere. However, backups are not guaranteed on the mailservers and as such we do not recommend storing important emails online.

Where is Webmail?

For Hotchilli hosting: http://webmail.hotchilli.co.uk/

For 123connect hosting: http://webmail.yourdomainname.co.uk/

Where can I add/remove/edit my mailboxes?

For 123connect hosting, please contact us to edit mailboxes.

For Hotchilli hosting: http://webadmin.hotchilli.net:4718

If you are accessing this page from behind a firewall you will need to make sure that http port 4718 is open.

How do I set up Outlook to send/receive e-mail?

These instructions are for Outlook 2000, but other versions of Outlook are similar

  9. Click Finish

* If you are not using our dial up service to connect to the Internet you will have to use the SMTP server of the ISP you are dialling into. The easiest way to find this out is by looking at the settings for your existing email account and copying the SMTP server name and pasting it later. If you get relaying denied messages after this then you will have to a) use webmail or b) use our dialup.
